Senses in Disguise #2: Seeing, Anemone

Fall 2019

Oil paint

Second painting in the titled series where I combined physical characteristics of a specific sense and disguising them as plants. This one being the sense seeing, taking the eye and lashes and disguising it as an anemone. Though its not known if there is a plant that “sees,” the anemone and similar looking flowers reminded me of an eye and iris with their petals and dark centers.
